Coils in Horizontal Axis
Series 100/A - Coil Tilters
These COILS TILTERS permit the tilting of coils – with a hole in the horizontal axis – through 90° and vice versa. Their operation can be electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic and they can also be fitted with various options and extremely valid safety systems according to customer requirement.
The way in which these tilting devices are created depends on specific customer requests. This latter supplies all the technical information necessary for precise construction.
With the aid of our qualified technical staff we analyse the situations – even by visiting the installation site - to find the best solution to satisfy the most widely varying demands.
Series 100/C – Coil Cars
These COILS CARS run on tracks or lines permitting the transport of coils on the ground of different dimensions and weights.
Our production range means that the customer can choose between trolleys with one, two, or three cradles, located transversely or longitudinally, to the running direction, to suit his requirements.
These equipment can be fitted with various options and extremely valid safety systems, both for the material and for the operators, which exceed the requirements of the European accident prevention standards.
These COILS CARS can be created according to the customer’s specific requirements that will be supplied us with all the technical information necessary for detailed construction. On our side, and with the help of our qualified technical staff, we analyse the situations, even with visits to the installation site and find the best solution to satisfy the most diverse requirements.
Series 300 – Grabs for Coils with Horizontal Axis Hole
Time and the experience have changed the construction methodology of these series 300 CONTE GRABS, designed for gripping and handling coils with the hole in the horizontal axis.
These new methods are faster and safer to satisfy continually evolving market demand.
The Conte company has also succeeded in reducing the external structural dimensions of its equipment, both in width and in height without losing the minimum and maximum gripping range. With the same grab, this range varies from a min. of 300 mm. to a max. of 2.900 mm.
All this equipment is designed to have reduced structural weight and on customer request, it can be fitted with various options, such as: extra safety systems, a device for continuous rotation through 360° a weighing system, radio control, etc. (options applicable after purchasing the tong).
Our company is also special in the fact that it produces the most compact grab, complete with 360° rotation, in the world– model 304. What really distinguishes the CONTE company however, is the high importance of the reliability and safety during handling.
Seires 500 – “C” Hook for Handling Coils
The “C” hooks – divided into 27 standard models – are for lifting and handling coils with a hole in the horizontal axis of different sizes and weights.
The main characteristic of our “C” hooks is that are realized under specific customer requirements – on the basis of the bridge crane block hook which they are combined, on the basis of the strips or coils to be handled and on the basis of the dimensions of the reels/uncoiler (or carousels) if they have to be used for loading / unloading the same.
This equipment is also supplied with a support frame and storage and can be fitted with various options to customer requests, such as 360° continuous rotation device.
Series 700 – Grabs for Tilting Coils in the Air
The 700 series is a range of GRABS specifically designed and studied for aerial tilting of coils with a hole in a vertical axis to one in the horizontal axis and vice versa, serving annealing furnaces, inter-ports and marine docks.
Their operation may be mechanical, electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic.
All this equipment is fitted wit safety devices to maintain the grip on the coils, even in the event of electrical power failure. They can be supplied with various options to limit machine and material damage and to facilitate – and thus speed up – the handling operations.
